Save Kittery Waters, with funding from our 2024 Watershed Grants Program, expanded its public outreach, education, and community engagement efforts to promote watershed stewardship townwide, including the Kittery portion of the York River watershed. Over the grant period, the project launched new communication platforms including savekitterywaters.org, developed educational materials, and strengthened partnerships with local organizations and residents. Through events, signage, digital outreach, and community presence, the initiative increased awareness of water quality issues and encouraged everyday actions that protect local streams, creeks, and coastal waters.
