With funding from the 2025 York River Watershed Grants Program, Old York Historical Society completed stabilization work for the Cider House on the McIntire Garrison property, readying the site for additional restoration activities in 2026. Once OYHS completes the necessary longer term restoration work, the Cider House will serve as a public space for visiting and learning about the history of the McIntire Garrison property.
