ORV Subcommittee meeting: planning for watershed build-out study

October 3, 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

The next monthly watershed resource topic meeting of the York River Study Committee will be held on Tuesday, October 3 from 12:30 to 2:30 in the York Public Library Community Meeting Room.  The topic is planning for a watershed-wide build-out study.
This meeting is different than previous monthly watershed resource meetings that focused on a specific topic area (e.g., historic resources, conservation lands, working waterfront, etc.).  For this meeting, members of the York River Study Committee will work with representatives from Southern Maine Planning and Development Commission (SMPDC) and Spatial Alternatives to review and develop plans to conduct a build-out study that will look at potential development impacts to various watershed resources. SMPDC, working with the York River Study Committee, received a Maine Coastal Program grant to conduct a York River watershed build-out study and a review of ordinances, and the project is just getting underway.
Public input is welcome at this project planning meeting.  If you plan to attend the October 3 meeting, please let me know in advance: jh.yorkriver@gmail.com.
